I had the privilege of taking my eldest daughter to "Admitted Students Day" at The Master College last weekend. It was a bitter sweet time. I am excited that she has been accepted to The Masters College, and that she is excited about going, however, I am not looking forward to her absence. We are still awaiting notification from a couple more scholarship organizations, as this will determine whether or not she will actually be able to go. But, we are confident that God will provide a way. So, come August she will be leaving our home to continue her education majoring in English.

19 years ago I knew this time was coming, but knowing
about sometime and knowing from experience are very different animals. So, as a daddy I am entering yet another new era in life. Another new experience, another new checkpoint on the road. I know they are necessary, for the most part, but that does not reduce the sense of loss and sadness that the change brings.
For now I intend on enjoying every moment that I can while she is home preparing to leave for college, and not let all the moments with my other babies slip away.
