Surgery, tomorrow.

So, tomorrow I go in for surgery.
That makes it sound so dramatic. (and increases the pity factor a tad)
I am having my gall bladder removed. No big deal (so they tell me), it's just a quick Laproscopic (sp?) procedure. A few days of taking it easy, and I'll be back to work. They make it sound so easy, I should have it done more often... whatever.
I am looking forward to no more gall bladder attacks (those suck), fewer stomach aches, and getting back to a less restricted diet (I've been off most fat for a few weeks- no pizza, cheeseburgers, ice cream, chocolate & coffee... My birthday kinda sucked for that reason). I will still have to, and should anyway, reduce my fat intake, but at least I can indulge periodically without fear of excruciating abdominal pain.
Surgery..... Am I scared? No, not really. I have confidence in the procedure and the surgeon.
Nervous ... A little, this is my first surgical experience (be gentle), and I will be going under general...
I'll be in overnight, with no cell phone, or WiFi - thats the worst part.

I will be incurring a few bills, so if you feel charitable you could click on the "My Surgery" link to the right and 'ChipIn' a few bucks..... I and my budget would greatly appreciate it.

If you don't want to help me, the "FirstGiving" link is a fundraiser for people less fortunate who need some help with the basics (food, shelter & clothing)- help them!

Have you ever had surgery??? Leave your mark in the poll to the lower right....
