When I got home last night my awesome family had left me my very own Pee-Wee Herman bike. It is my Father's Day present. I got it last night. It was in the kitchen.
Let me 'splain.... My family is now on a multiweek adventure, traveling all over the U.S. I am not on that trip. They might be back to celebrate the 4th of July with me, maybe.
Since they will be gone (Colorado, Georgia or Iowa) on Father's day, they were tear-jerkingly thoughtful and bought me a present. I hope to put it to good use. I may use it to go to the grocery store- Big Vons, not the one down the street, but the one half way across town! I might even bike to Starbucks® - which is all the way across town. I am eager to get started.
Anyone in Lompoc wanna be a biking buddy with me?

** Update** As one astute reader pointed out, one of the balloons says "Happy Anniversary" - that is because our anniversary is on July 2 - and as I stated, there is a good chance my wandering family will not be back home. **

Thanks for the invite to ride with you, Chris, but...
There's things about me you don't know. Things you wouldn't understand. Things you couldn't understand. Things you shouldn't understand. You don't want to get mixed up with a guy like me. I'm a loner, Chris. A rebel.
Buzz, Dave was saying those same words tonight at a party, about the same time you were writing them here!! No kidding!
Chris: Happy Anniversary then!
